Astor's Notes

Amanda Barrie

Date: 5th January 1966
Theatre: Wyndhams
Production: Any Wednesday
Character: Ellen
Review: Quite a cute performance, but never the really zany kook needed. She looked good and got a lot of laughs, but not really experienced enough to make it swing.
Date: 30th January 1986
Theatre: Duke of Yorks
Production: Stepping Out
Character: Mavis
Review: Played the dancing teacher and looked absolutely gorgeous in her leotards. Can obviously dance well and played it all with sincerity. 5’3″ brunette, must be mid-40s but still quite trim and attractive.
Date: 10th March 1988
Theatre: Bromley
Production: Kindly Keep It Covered
Character: Julia Dickery
Review: As the wife, she always looked gorgeous and has a most likeable personality. Slim, dark-haired. She was the only saving grace of this inept comedy.
