Review: Very tall, grey-haired, thickset, red-faced, quite likeable as a bumbling rather thick company commander. He has charm, presence and style, all helpful in this particular part.

Review: Dreadfully boring performance. A large heavy man of 6’2″, early 60s. Popped on and off as a cardboard naval officer. A daft part to which he brought absolutely nothing.
