Astor's Notes

Card text:

Bernard Bresslaw

Date: 14th March 1984
Theatre: Criterion
Production: Run for your Wife
Character: Detective Sergeant Porterhouse
Review: Played the rather thick detective getting more and more involved with bigamist, deceptions , quite useful comedy style. 6’6″, bald and his giant proportions a useful comedy plus.
Date: 13th June 1991
Theatre: Chichester
Production: Arsenic and Old Lace
Character: Jonathan
Review: Played the Karloff brother with a good sense of fun although more like Herman Munster than the Karloff monster. He used his large presence to good effect and had some splendid comedy moments. Must be late 50s.
