Astor's Notes

Card text:

Francesca Annis

Date: 16th October 1967
Theatre: Richmond
Production: Romeo and Juliet
Character: Juliet
Review: A wonderful quality of real warmth and love, she had a really sincere approach and I would back her against anybody in this part. Most pleasant to see and to listen to.
Date: 10th September 1970
Theatre: Duke of Yorks
Production: The Heretic
Character: Dona Daria
Review: As the nobleman’s wife, she has real quality. Redheaded, beautiful, she carried herself upright and wore the costumes with real style. Looking basically too young for this neglected wife who fals for the heretic, she was always worth watching and listening to.
Date: 13th December 1988
Theatre: Apollo
Production: Mrs Klein
Character: Melitta
Review: Played the troubled daughter well enough and always an attractive actress to watch she is slim 5’4″ and must be around 40 now.
